We live abroad. Is it better to perform the qurban sacrifice here or delegate it in Malaysia?
Both are valid; choose whichever benefits those in need the most and which you can carry out most faithfully. The qurban sacrifice can be delegated, and many families abroad delegate it to family back home or a trusted organisation. Doing it where you live also has advantages: the children can see and learn about this act of worship, and local Muslim neighbours share in it too. If local law restricts slaughter, use an authorised slaughterhouse. Make sure the intention and the delegation (wakalah) are made clearly, and check the reputation of whoever handles it. For specific questions, ask your state mufti's office. See involving children in the qurban sacrifice.
