⚖️ Polygyny: rulings & justice · #132

My wives quarrel and each wants me to take her side. How do I stay fair?

When your wives disagree, your job is to be a fair peacemaker, not a judge who automatically sides with the favourite wife. Listen to both separately and do not draw conclusions from one story only. Avoid carrying one wife's complaint to the other, because that only fans the flames. Correct whoever is at fault fairly, even if she is the wife you love more. If they cannot reconcile, encourage them to keep within the bounds of respect and give each her own space. For a long-running dispute, a sulh officer or family counsellor can help. See counselling.
