🤍 Character & conduct between spouses · #312
My spouse gets jealous easily. How can I reassure them proactively without feeling confined?
Transparency given willingly usually puts out jealousy better than waiting until you are asked. Sharing everyday matters lightly, letting them know where you are going, and introducing your spouse to your circle build a sense of safety. This is different from reporting because you are forced; it is a gift of love, not a sign of guilt. At the same time, set healthy boundaries so that transparency does not turn into endless surveillance. Praise and appreciate it when your spouse trusts you, so that the trust grows. If their jealousy still does not ease whatever you do, the cause may be internal and need help. See communication & emotions.
