Our marriage contract ceremony was recorded and broadcast. Can a video recording replace the witnesses?

No; two male witnesses who are present are an essential pillar of marriage, and a recording cannot take their place. A recording only records the event. It does not meet the condition of witnesses who are present, hearing and understanding the contract directly. The number of online viewers does not count either, however many there may be. Make sure two eligible witnesses are appointed and sit nearby. The recording is still useful as a keepsake, and sometimes as additional evidence if a dispute arises.
