Q&A › Raising children (tarbiyah)

🧒 Raising children (tarbiyah) · #88

Is it important to make time to play with my young child every day, however busy we are?

For a young child, playing with you is a language of love he understands and the main way he learns about the world. It need not be long or expensive; a dozen or so minutes of full attention without the phone is worth more than a whole day nearby while busy. Follow the rhythm of his play, let him lead, and step into his world. Simple games such as hide-and-seek, blocks or running in the park strengthen your bond and his development. Playtime is also a chance to sow values and language naturally. Make it part of the daily routine, not a rare treat. These memories of playing together are what a child keeps when he grows up.
