🤝 Existing wife & prospective wife · #152

How do I manage the house and children on my own on the days my husband is with his first wife?

Treat the days without your husband as time to build your own strength and routine, not just waiting for him to come back. Set a tidy schedule for the children, the house and yourself so the day is full and does not feel empty. Build a support network you can call in an emergency, such as neighbours or close relatives. Plan one activity you enjoy on those days, so they become time to recharge. Teach the children, in a calm tone, that this family arrangement is normal. Keep a list of matters to discuss with your husband on your turn, rather than disturbing him during your co-wife's turn unless necessary. See relationships between co-wives.
