How do we prepare financially to welcome a baby without stress and debt?

Preparing financially means planning for the baby's real needs, not filling a list of luxury items that are marketed to you. Allah praises those who, when they spend, “are neither extravagant nor miserly, but hold a balance between the two” (Surah al-Furqan 25:67). List the basic needs such as clothing, bedding and delivery costs, and distinguish them from wants that can wait. Accept clothes and items in good condition handed down from relatives; that is nothing to be ashamed of. Set aside a little savings before the baby is born if you can. Avoid debt for the sake of showy items. Discuss it together so this planning is shared. See family finances.
