While performing hajj together, if my spouse falls ill, can I stone the jamrah on their behalf?
Yes; a pilgrim who is unable is permitted to delegate their stoning to someone else, including their own spouse. The inability must be genuine, such as illness or being too weak to face the crowds. The representative stones for himself or herself first, then for the spouse being represented, following the order taught in the hajj course. Ask the worship guide in your group about the correct method, because there are details to follow. Meanwhile, look after your sick spouse: make sure they rest, drink enough and get treatment at the clinic. Hajj also teaches us to serve, and caring for a sick spouse in the Holy Land is part of that goodness. See hajj and umrah together.
