I found out my husband is cheating with another woman. What should I do?

An extramarital relationship is a major sin, and you have every right to feel hurt. Avoid acting when emotions are at their peak, such as attacking the third party or exposing it on social media. Talk to your husband directly; if needed, bring in an intermediary or counsellor. If your husband intends to marry, remember that polygyny in Malaysia requires court permission and the existing wife has the right to be heard. You also have the right to ask for sexual health screening. If the relationship cannot be repaired, options such as khulʿ (tebus talak) or fasakh can be discussed with a Syariah lawyer.
