Q&A › Character & conduct between spouses

🤍 Character & conduct between spouses · #231

How can we be a couple who help each other in good every day?

The best couple is one that helps each other become better in the sight of Allah, not just comfortable in this world. Allah tells us to “Help ye one another in righteousness and piety” (Surah al-Ma'idah 5:2), and the home is the first place to practise it. Gently remind each other of prayer, encourage charity and learning, and make worship easier for each other. Help also in worldly matters: housework, caring for the children, and bearing hardship together. Avoid helping each other in what is forbidden or what hurts others. Set one good deed to work on together this month. See course for wives.
