I moved far away to follow my husband and miss my family terribly. How do I adjust?

Missing your family after moving is a healthy feeling, not a sign that you are unhappy with your spouse. Give yourself time to adjust; a big change does need a period of grieving for what was left behind. Keep in touch with your family through regular calls, and plan reasonable visits from time to time. At the same time, put down new roots here: get to know the neighbours, the mosque and local friends. Tell your husband how you feel so he understands and supports you, rather than thinking you regret it. If the sadness becomes heavy and prolonged, see a counsellor. Slowly, this new place will feel like home. See mental health.
