How much screen time is suitable for children under six?

The less screen time for children under six, the better; what they need most is interaction with people, not displays. Avoid making the phone a soother every time they whine, because it weakens their ability to regulate their own emotions. If screens are used, choose good content, limit the time, and watch with them so that you can talk about it. Fill their time with games, outdoor play, storytelling and helping with light housework. Set screen-free times and spaces, especially at meals and before bed. Parents who cut down on their own screen time make it easier for children to follow. See educating the family.
