Can I marry a Muslim of a different ethnicity or nationality?
Yes, it is permissible to marry a Muslim of a different ethnicity; Islam does not make ethnicity the measure of honour.
Allah made humankind into peoples and tribes so that they may know one another, and the most honoured is the most God-conscious (al-Hujurat 49:13). But be prepared for differences in language, customs, food, family expectations and communication style. For a foreign spouse, there are additional requirements such as documents confirming single/divorced status and permission from the authorities, as well as immigration issues and the children's citizenship. Discuss early where you will live and relations with both families. See Cross-border marriage.
