Bolehkah isteri pertama dan kedua tinggal serumah?

Boleh jika kedua-dua isteri benar-benar redha, dan setiap seorang mempunyai bilik serta privasi sendiri. Hak tempat tinggal berasingan adalah hak isteri, maka dia boleh menggugurkannya dengan kerelaan (bukan paksaan). Walau bagaimanapun, suami wajib menjaga aurat dan privasi setiap isteri, tidak boleh bersama seorang isteri di hadapan isteri lain, dan perlu bersedia menyediakan tempat berasingan jika salah seorang menarik balik persetujuan atau berlaku konflik. May the first and second wives live in the same house?

It is allowed if both wives are truly willing, and each has her own room and privacy.
Separate accommodation is the wife's right, so she may waive it willingly (not under pressure). Nevertheless, the husband must protect each wife's modesty and privacy, may not be intimate with one wife in the presence of another, and must be ready to provide separate accommodation if either withdraws her consent or conflict arises. The experience of many families shows that living separately reduces friction more. Discuss it openly, and if problems arise, seek counselling. See also Maintenance.
