🌍 Children, inheritance & global · #87

I worry I am not being fair between the children who live with me and those who live with my ex-spouse. What should I do?

Fairness and love towards your children do not stop because they live in different homes; each of them is entitled to your attention and support. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Be conscious of Allah and act justly among your children” (Sahih al-Bukhari 2587). Do not let the child who is far away feel left out because you are together less; call and visit regularly. Avoid spoiling one to ease your guilt while neglecting the other. Give time, not just money or gifts. Make sure each child's maintenance and needs are met without favouritism. Fairness that children can feel builds hearts free of jealousy.
