What are the signs that a husband is not fit for polygyny?

The main sign is that he has already failed to be fair or to fulfil his responsibilities to his existing family. These include: the wife's and children's maintenance often in arrears; borrowing for basic needs; neglecting prayer and religious duties; a hot temper or having caused injury; hiding relationships and lying; or wanting to marry secretly abroad.
