There may be, so check your service regulations and department instructions before filing the application. Some services, especially the uniformed services, have their own conditions about members' marriages, such as notifying or getting permission from the head of department. These conditions are separate from the Syariah Court's permission and do not replace it. Ask your department's human resources unit formally.
