We are not used to sharing a room and sleeping together. How do we adjust early in the marriage?
Sharing a bedroom for the first time requires adjustment, and talking about each other's comfort makes it easier. Differences in sleeping habits, room temperature, light, noise or bedtime can be worked out with give-and-take. Discuss these small things openly and find a middle way, such as using separate blankets or adjusting the lights. Make the bedroom a calm and clean place, away from arguments and screens before sleep. Practise bedtime duas and dhikr together as a peaceful close to the day. If snoring or sleep problems affect health, see a doctor. In time, having your spouse beside you will feel comforting. See everyday adab.
