One wife has just given birth and is in her confinement period (pantang). How is her rota of nights arranged?
A wife in confinement is still entitled to her rota and to companionship, even though intimacy is not yet appropriate then. The rota is not only about physical relations, but about togetherness, support and help, which a wife who has just given birth greatly needs. Be present on her nights, help care for the baby, and ease her exhaustion. If she herself asks you to help more at the other household for a particular reason, that is by her consent and not compulsion. Do not use the confinement as an excuse to reduce her right to your time. When the confinement ends, the usual cycle continues. Refer to the religious office if there is confusion about the ruling. See the rota in practice.
