SAKINAH — Household Management System
SAKINAH (سكينة) — one centre to manage a household: overnight turns, maintenance, requests & complaints, finances, important dates and tasks. For one household or several. Try the working demo.
1What this system is
Under development
Managing a household — all the more a polygynous household — requires transparency and clear records. Who paid what, when, and how much. What was requested, and what has been fulfilled. The complaints raised, and how they were resolved.
We are building an integrated system where husband and wife can record and view all of this in one place — transparently, fairly, and neatly kept. This page is a preview; the actual system is still under development.

2Monthly maintenance tracker
Maintenance is a right, and a right that is recorded is easier to fulfil and to prove. The maintenance tracker allows each month to be recorded: the amount due, the amount received, the date, and the status. No more "forgetting" or disputes without evidence.
| Month | Expected | Received | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| January 2026 | RM 3,000 | RM 3,000 | Paid |
| February 2026 | RM 3,000 | RM 3,000 | Paid |
| Mar 2026 | RM 3,000 | RM 3,000 | Paid |
| April 2026 | RM 3,000 | RM 1,500 | Partial |
| May 2026 | RM 3,000 | — | Not yet |
In a polygynous household, each wife has her own tracker — so that fairness of maintenance between the households can be seen clearly, not merely felt.
3A register of requests and complaints
This system opens a space for both parties — husband and wife — to record requests and complaints in an orderly way, not by shouting or by staying silent. Each one is dated, has a status, and can be referred back to.
- A request for maintenance or household needs
- A complaint if a turn or right is neglected
- A request for discussion or counselling
- A record of the husband's unfulfilled promises
- Maintenance commitments and payment schedule
- Requests or hopes addressed to the wife
- Notes on turns and time arrangements
- Complaints or concerns to discuss
The aim is not to "gather evidence" to do battle, but to encourage clear communication and a fair resolution — with records that protect both parties.
4Household financial records
Besides maintenance, this system records the related household cash flows — shared expenses, debts, savings, and commitments — so that the family's financial picture is clear to those entitled to know.
5Why one integrated system
When maintenance, requests, complaints and finances are in one transparent place, many household problems can be avoided before they grow.
6Privacy: your data is yours
SAKINAH is designed so that each couple manages their own household, privately. polygyny101 is not the manager of your household and bears no responsibility for your family affairs.
- polygyny101 does not monitor the use of this tool — SAKINAH routes are not recorded in the administrator log.
- The data you enter is for your own use; in the full version to come, it will be protected and will belong to you.
- Household decisions — maintenance, turns, and everything else — are the business of you and your spouse, not polygyny101.
7Status and what is next
This system is not yet available for use. This page is a preview of the planned design and features. We will announce when it is ready.
Any suggestion of a feature or a need you would like to see? This system is built for real Muslim families — your feedback helps us build it properly.
Note: the views above are a sample design (mock data). The actual system, including the question of data security and legal accuracy, is still under development and not yet final.
