🤍 Character & conduct between spouses · #170
My spouse never admits being wrong and always blames me. What do I do?
A spouse who never admits being wrong is usually protecting their pride, not truly convinced they are never mistaken. Answering by demanding an admission usually only provokes a harder defence. Lead by example by admitting your own part first, because that softens the atmosphere. Discuss only one specific incident at a time, focusing on the facts and their effect, not listing every old mistake. Avoid arguing about who is most to blame, because it has no end. If the blaming comes with ongoing contempt or control, consider joint counselling to break the cycle. See family counselling.
