Master of Arts in Youth & Young Adult Ministry
The Master of Arts in Youth & Young Adult Ministry (MAYYAM) program prepares men and women to foster discipleship among young adults and youth.
If you have the passion for ministry to young adults and youth and are willing to commit your talents to work with them, our dedicated and highly experienced faculty in the MAYYAM program will be your mentors.
Dual degrees with Master of Social Work or Master of Community & International Development are offered, as well as two emphases to choose from: Youth & Young Adult Ministry or Campus Chaplaincy.
At the completion of the program you will be able to serve in many areas, including:
- Pastoral ministry to youth and young adults
- Residence hall leadership
- Guidance counseling
- Academy or college chaplaincy
- Conference youth ministry leadership
You will be trained to:
- Understand young adult and youth culture
- Empower spiritual growth
- Assess at-risk factors in youth and young adults
- Use prevention and intervention skills
- Counsel youth and young adults
- Take a leadership role in youth and young adult ministry
