The Operations’ Coordinator is one of the Office of Campus Safety’s program specialists. These specialists fill a dual role, serving as a regularly scheduled shift for either Dispatch and/or Patrol while also having dedicated shifts for managing their assigned program, such as Operations Coordination.

The Operations Coordination role is to manage the day-to-day tasks of the office, identify operational needs/improvements and provide management for Office projects.

The shift role is currently a weekday, morning Dispatch shift.

The Operations’ Coordinator qualifications require background in process and project management, and ability to manage large projects and minute details. Qualifications also include proficiency in software solutions that are web-based, have data analysis functionality, and communication based.

The responsibilities of this position are to fulfill the needs of a Security Officer, capable of working in the Patrol and Dispatch Division. Primary responsibilities will be based on the division (Patrol/Dispatch) needs at point of hire and secondary responsibilities will be the second division (Patrol/Dispatch). This position is considered an essential employee and will be responsible to work a shift schedule that can include; working during a section of a 24 hour day, working weekends and holidays, including during Sabbath hours.

The Instructional Designer for the Center for Digital Learning and Instructional Technology (DLiT) will provide highly skilled professional service to meet the instructional design needs primarily of faculty who are teaching online and blended courses. Provide service in the areas of: a) online teaching professional development and support for faculty; b) instructional design for online and blended courses; c) research and oversee the implementation of emerging technologies in online courses; and d) provide additional support to the DLiT helpdesk. This under-half-time hourly position, reports to the DLiT Director.

The administrative assistant is responsible for various activities under the supervision of the Chair.  He/she demonstrates organizational skills and competence in various support services which may include (not limited to) generating reports, maintaining a budget, managing correspondence with clients, recruits, or other outside parties, and collecting/maintaining assessment documents, confidential files, and spreadsheets.

Maintains, repairs, and installs power on H.V.A.C. and refrigeration equipment in campus housing and university buildings by performing the following duties.

Maintains, inspects and installs all heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment, fans, vacuum pumps, air compressors, vents, ducts, and pneumatic and DDC control systems on the university campus. Rotates weekend shifts to take call for emergency service calls including repairs beyond normal work hours as required. Must be within twenty minutes of the University for quick response when on call. Cross trained to operate automatically fired boilers, chillers and perform maintenance on chilled water systems throughout campus.

As part of the management team, the Technical Director shares responsibility in all areas of station activity, with particular responsibility for technical operations.  The T.D. is directly responsible for the physical plant, engineering nneds of the station, broadcast operations, and studio services, and reports to the General Manager.
