Undergraduate Programs

The 日韩AV Department of Mathematics is principally an undergraduate department with approximately 40 undergraduate majors. Its six faculty members teach and do research in several mathematical disciplines.

The Department offers the following undergraduate degrees, majors, and minors:

  • (39 semester credits) Enables students to choose an emphasis in preparation for graduate study, applied mathematics, or  secondary school mathematics education ()
  • (36 semester credits for the mathematics portion) Prepares students for teaching secondary school mathematics ( )
  • (30 semester credits)  Available only as a second major for those taking a degree in another field ()
  • (56 semester credits) Offered jointly with the Department of Computing ()
  • (20 semester credits) ()
  • (20 semester credits) Prepares students for teaching elementary school mathematics ()
  • (20 semester credits) Geared for students majoring in economics or finance ()

The Department also participates in a high school program, in which about a hundred gifted students from Berrien and Cass Counties receive their mathematics and science instruction on the Andrews Campus. This program is funded by the Berrien RESA (Regional Educational Service Agency).
