The value of alfalfa and other pelleted plant material as an organic fertilizer on the growth of tomatoes.

Alfalfa is a popular commodity and readily available. It is well established as a nutritious feed source for many different animals. Its use as an organic mulch is very popular, but its use as an actual fertilizer source is not well documented. My research will be to establish how the application of alfalfa and other pelleted plant material as a fertilizer to vegetables compares with typical inorganic fertilizer applications.
