Welcome to the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary assessment webpage. The Office of Seminary Assessment works in conjunction with the University’s Office of Institutional Effectiveness which deals with University-wide assessment.
The Office of Seminary Assessment assists the seminary in developing program learning outcomes and assessing their accomplishment. In doing so, we work with faculty, department chairs and program directors to ensure that learning outcomes align with the seminary mission and goal statements and meet accreditation requirements.
What is educational assessment? Educational assessment may be defined as “the process of gathering and discussing information from multiple and diverse sources in order to develop a deep understanding of what students know, understand, and can do with their knowledge as a result of their educational experiences; the process culminates when assessment results are used to improve subsequent learning" (Huba and Freed, 2000).
The Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at 日韩AV is committed to providing our students with a quality education, using systematic assessment policies and practices to improve academic and spiritual student learning outcomes.
