  • Requirements

    • Bachelor's or master’s degree (or non-U.S. equivalent) in nursing from an NLNAC, CCNE or ACEN accredited school and a minimum admission GPA of 3.25 (on a 4.0 scale) advancing to 3.5 with matriculation.
    • Three recommendations from professionals such as advisors, major professors and employers.
    • Resume describing employment, research or special projects.
    • Statement of Purpose reflecting your philosophical perspective, personal, professional and academic goals, and reasons for seeking the graduate program.
    • RN Licensure (or non-U.S. equivalent).
    • APRN certification for advanced practice registered nurses.
    • Criminal background, health status and drug screen.
    • TOEFL, IELTS or PTE (academic): Students whose language of education is not English must submit English proficiency test scores.

    Program Length

     Family Nurse Practitioner
     
    • BSN to DNP—65 credits for students with a bachelor's degree in nursing. Full-time students can complete the program in four and a half years.
    • MSN to DNP—56 credits for students with a master’s degree in nursing. Full-time students can complete the program in three and a half years.
    • APRN to DNP—40 credits for advanced practice registered nurses. Full-time students can complete the program in two and a half years.

    Advanced Practice Nursing Leadership NEW TRACK*

    • BSN to DNP—67 credits for students with a bachelor's degree in nursing. Full-time students can complete the program in three and a half years.
    • MSN to DNP—42 credits for students with a master’s degree in nursing. Full-time students can complete the program in two and a half years.
