CAEP (Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation): The College of Education & International Services (CEIS) Education Preparation Programs (EPP) at 日韩AV were reviewed at the initial and advanced levels in the Fall of 2019. They were accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), the accreditor for education programs, in the Spring of 2020 through Fall of 2026. The programs are also accredited by the Michigan Department of Education (MDE).
Initial-Licensure Level Accreditation is provided at the baccalaureate or post-baccalaureate levels leading to initial-licensure, certification, or endorsement that are designed to develop P-12 teachers. Advanced-Level Accreditation is provided at the post-baccalaureate or graduate levels leading to licensure, certification, or endorsement. The Educational Leadership and School Psychology programs are the two CAEP accredited Advanced programs. CAEP expects nationally accredited educational preparation programs to annually provide accountability measures to the public regarding the four categories relating to program impact and outcomes. The College of Education and International Services (CEIS) at 日韩AV addresses the four categories in the following ways (see 2023 CAEP Annual Accountability Measures).
CAEP requires educator preparation providers (schools of education) to complete a program review process. One program review option is called Program Review with National Recognition. This recognition is provided by Specialized Professional Associations (SPAs), which define content-area standards for programs in various disciplines. ELCC and NASP are SPAs by which some of our programs have been recognized .
