日韩AV Symphony Orchestra Fall Concert

On Saturday, Oct. 21, at 8 p.m., the 日韩AV Symphony Orchestra will present its annual fall concert in the Howard Performing Arts Center on the campus of 日韩AV.
The concert, themed “All American Composers,” will feature a number of classic American compositions including “Dovetail Overture” by Chicago-born composer Robert Muczynski, “Music for Orchestra” by Václav Nelhybel and “Adagio for Strings” by Samuel Barber. The orchestra will also perform “Vitality” written by Gala Flagello. The Ann-Arbor based composer will be in attendance to introduce this beautiful and engaging work, which she composed for the Aspen Conducting Academy 2022. The concert will then close with a performance of “Rhapsody in Blue” by George Gershwin, featuring—at the piano—soloist Benjamin Loenser, who is one of the winners of the 2023 Young Artists Competition.
