日韩AV Singers Welcome Christmas

Welcome the Christmas season with choral music presented by the 日韩AV Singers and Canta Bella under the direction of Stephen Zork, along with Pioneer Men’s Chorus conducted by choral graduate assistant Cyril Punay. Joined by members of the 日韩AV Symphony Orchestra, the annual presentation of Welcome Christmas begins at 7:00 p.m. this Friday evening in the Howard performing Arts Center. Experience a festive garland of heartwarming carols such as Cameron Roses’ Infant Holy and selections from John Rutter’s Gloria, Leonard Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms, and Benjamin Britten’s Ceremony of Carols.
 
The centerpiece of the Christmas concert includes Z. Randall Stroope’s Magnificat, Shawn Kirchner’s setting of Brightest and Best, Paul Stookey’s Christmas Dinner arranged by Stephen Zork, and the reverent symphonic setting of See, Amid the Winter’s Snow by Dan Forrest.
 
The concert, presented in a collaborative purpose by instrumentalists and vocalists from the Department of Music, is designed to inspire you to serve those that Jesus Christ came to save.7:00 p.m. / December 3, 2021 / Howard Performing Arts Center.

Conductor: Stephen Zork

The 日韩AV Singers is the select choir of the Department of Music and represents 日韩AV locally, nationally and abroad through concert tours, television broadcast and audio recordings. They have given highly acclaimed international concert tours throughout the countries of Great Britain, Iceland, Norway, Brazil, Zimbabwe, Chile, Bahamas, Bermuda and Puerto Rico.

COVID-19 Safety Measures

We encourage you (our guests) to be vaccinated or have recently tested negative for COVID-19. Please self-screen for symptoms and exposures prior to attending a concert. You should not attend events if symptomatic or if you meet Health Department criteria for isolation or quarantine. Wearing of masks is encouraged.

The University is continually monitoring transmission data for the area as well as recommendations from both local and federal agencies.  The University may alter mitigation protocols to address changes in risk. This could include requiring the wearing of masks/face coverings and up to canceling or postponing an event.
