UPDATE: Reversal of Recent SEVP Guidelines

Campus Announcements | Posted on July 14, 2020

Greetings, 日韩AV International Students:

I’m writing to share a significant and important news update.

Earlier today, the U.S. government rescinded the July 6 Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) guidelines issued for fall 2020. Initial reports on this decision suggest that it appears to be good news, especially as the July 6 guidelines for fall would have restricted much of the flexibility earlier spring and summer guidelines gave to our 日韩AV international students studying online and away from campus in the midst of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

We are waiting to hear more details from SEVP and will share those updates beginning July 16, if not before, within the special FAQs on our new International Student Services website. However, this news today indicates that much, if not all, of the previous spring and summer flexibility for our international students will still be in place for fall studies.

We know you have ongoing questions about these changes and our return to in-person studies this fall semester, and we will write again soon with more specific details on what this latest news means for each one of our 日韩AV international students, including you.

In the meantime, I want to tell you again how much all of us at Andrews appreciate you, and I want you to know that our entire Center for On-Campus International Student Services team is excited that you will soon be studying with us!

More very soon,

Christian Stuart
