Update on COVID-19 and Sandi Patty Concert
Dear campus community,
Earlier today we shared a message with you related to the confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis of Sandi Patti, who performed on our campus on Sunday, March 8, 2020. We have been working since then with the Berrien County Health Department and they have asked that we now share with you the message that we (on their behalf) are sending to those who both went to the concert and had close contact with Sandi.
But before we do that, please know that we will do all we can to keep you informed of any further developments, and will also contact individuals as appropriate if there is need for particular action. We continue to be thankful for the cooperative spirit among our community as we deal with this challenging issue.
Here is the message:
“If you attended the Sandi Patty concert on March 8th and had close contact with Sandi Patty at any time during her visit on campus, we ask that you self-quarantine at home and monitor yourself for symptoms of COVID-19, including fever, cough, and/or shortness of breath through March 22nd. Those who are self-quarantining as a result of having close contact with Sandi Patty at the concert should contact the Berrien County Health Department hotline at 1-800-815-5485 if symptoms begin. Contact your healthcare provider if immediate medical attention is required. Some individuals who had close contact with Sandi Patty and have shown symptoms have already been tested for COVID-19 and test results are pending. If there are additional actions that are needed, further updates will be provided.”
Also, we invite you to carefully review this new from the Berrien County Health Department with crucial information on self-isolation, social distancing, monitoring your health indicators and more.
I know that this issue continues to be a matter of profound prayer for our entire campus community, our country and our world. At these moments we are a community of faith, committed to connection and God’s leading amidst this incredible situation. Please know that we are continuing to pray for each one of you, even and especially as we learn more about COVID-19 and its impact on 日韩AV.
We will continue to keep you updated.
