Phil Wickham to Perform at Howard Center
Popular Christian artist at Andrews on Sunday
Phil Wickham, popular contemporary Christian artist, will present a live concert on Sunday, Jan. 17, at 7:30 p.m. in the Howard Performing Arts Center on the campus of 日韩AV. Admission is $22 premium seating, $18 general admission, $13 日韩AV faculty and staff, $10 日韩AV students.
Phil Wickham is, at his core, a humble and sincere artist who writes songs and worships God using the medium of music. It is with that brush that he paints images of a loving and creative God across the canvases of listeners’ hearts and minds.
Wickham is all about bringing a community together through worship music. It’s how he found his start in Christian music—performing a song he penned for the church his father pastored in San Diego, California. Since then he has transformed from a worship leader in church to leading worship in his concerts.
Through his five albums, including hit singles “This Is Amazing Grace” and “Safe,” Wickham hopes to create an opportunity for people to experience God for themselves.
Wickham’s latest release debuted at #2 on the SoundScan Christian Albums Chart and in the Top 40 on the Billboard 200. “This Is Amazing Grace” received top honors at the BMI Christian Awards in 2014 as Song of the Year, recognizing it as the most-played song on Christian radio that year.
Wickham’s highly anticipated new project, “Children of God,” is slated for release in April 2016.
