Aureole Trio
Flute, viola, and harp
Sun, November 22, 2015 @ 04:00 pm - 06:00 pm
The Aureole Trio claims a unique blend of instruments—flute, viola and harp. These consolidate the entire orchestral palette into its three essential components, performed with an infinite array of colors and sounds. Laura Gilbert is the trio’s flautist, Mary Hammann is the violist, and Stacey Shames is the harpist. Each have an active solo and chamber music career. The trio’s repertoire includes folk, classical, Latin and Celtic and spans the late 19th Century to the 21st Century's cutting edge, including works by Claude Debussy and Toru Takemitsu. They’ve performed for A&E Television Network’s “Holiday in New York” and have been featured several times on NPR’s “Performance Today.”
