MARKETING & ENROLLMENT MANAGMENT - Freshman Enrollment Counselor

Position summary

Serves to effectively build relationships and recruit students from assigned schools within the Lake Union and territories within the North American Division. Coordinates and schedules recruiting appointments and trips to these schools.  Helps with visits and events on campus for prospective students. Works on weekends as needed for travel and events.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification preferred; or multiple years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Preference offered to candidates who have attended ÈÕº«AV.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Outstanding communication skills with mastery of public speaking, and written English language is important. Must be able to read and interpret documents and be able to write routine reports and correspondence.  Able to speak effectively before groups of customers or organization employees

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Able to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.  Able to read and interpret financial statements.

REASONING SKILLS:

Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must possess valid driver's license (for a minimum of three years in order to use university vehicles to transport other individuals) and be willing to travel and use personal car when necessary.  Must carry the required insurance levels on their personal vehicles.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The following work environment characteristics represent the atmosphere an employee will encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. Works primarily inside in rooms with appropriately functioning air handling equipment except with traveling or in off-campus assignments. Is interactive with other campus departments and personnel. In the enrollment work space there is the moderate noise encountered that involves many individuals within proximity in an open office area including other staff members and prospective students visiting campus.
