Position summary

We are looking for dedicated and responsible workers to assist in our Before and After School program for the 2024-2025 school year. We are looking for workers to work in the mornings from 7:00 am - 8:30 am Monday - Friday and in the afternoons from 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm Monday - Thursday and 12:00 pm - 4:30 pm on Fridays.

We will provide all work trainings, background check, finger printing,  and CPR/First Aid training that are required for the job.

Must be a student of ÈÕº«AV.

Qualifications summary

• Must be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma.


• High engery


• Accuracy, common sense and efficiency is required


• Must love children.

Duties and responsibilities

• 
  • Provide basic needs for children
  
  
  
  • Provide tools and resources for children to use and explore during learning and play activities
  
  
  
  • Use various leaning methods such as stories, games and drawing to intellectually stimulate children.
  
  
  
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of children
  
  
  
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents
  
  
  
  • Work with young children to teach basic skills such as colors, letter and number recognition, shapes, social skills and personal hygiene
  
  
  
  • Manage activities, imaginative play, bathroom breaks, meals and rest time
  
  
  
  • Introduce children to new age-appropriate hobbies
  
  
  
  • Clean and sanitize all toys and play areas
  
  
  
  • Monitor and gently correct children’s behavior and adapt to the various needs of children and parents
  
  
  
  • Have patience and compassion suitable for working with young children
  
  
  
  • Have the spirit of flexibility and a Christ-like attitude in all that they say and do
  
   
  

Supervisory responsibilities

May supervise student workers, as determined by the Director

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma.


• Commitment to the job and the responsibilty.


• Ability to be highly punctual and to successfully allocate and manage time.


•  Must love children.


• Must have a warm and friendly personality with sensitivity to the feelings and needs of both children and adults.


• Display a willingness to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with the center's philosophy and mission.


• Job requires much physical activity and a high energy level.

Technical competencies

The employee must be able to operate at a reasonable level of competency, equipment common to the position but not limited to a tv, dvd/blu ray player, cd player, blu tooth speaker, Amazon fire stick, computer, overhead projector, copy and laminating machines, telephone, paper cutter etc.

Physical demands

The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting,

carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent climbing and balancing; significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and

significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 5% sitting, 25% walking, and 70% standing. The job is performed under

some temperature extremes and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.  

 

Work environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to outside weather conditions.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
