Position summary
The marketing assistant will be working with general marketing and public relations projects and events, including, but not limited to, advertisements, promotions, and communications. The work will include clerical data entry necessary for developing mailing lists, organizing and affecting marketing and sales events, making telephone calls, and/or helping to maintain a regular responsible social media presence.
Qualifications summary
Applicant must have superior communication skills with an avid interest in precision work, organization, and a high attention to detail. Applicant must also be proficient in social media, the MS Office suite, and preferably Mail Chimp. Applicant must be reliable and punctual. Applicant must be a qualified, full-time student at ÈÕº«AV.
Duties and responsibilities
- Assist with conceptualization and implementation of marketing strategies and various other marketing tasks
- Assist in other publishing endeavors through one of these areas of expertise: (1) preparation of images for marketing, web display, and printed materials through experienced use of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and/or Photoshop; (2) superior editorial skills with knowledge of the rules of English grammar; or (3) typesetting of book content in Adobe InDesign using paragraph and character styles

- Working knowledge of MS Office suite
- Ability to effectively use social media platforms

- Ability to spend long periods of time on a single task but also regularly switch between multiple projects

Technical competencies
- Microsoft Office suite (mostly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Twitter, Facebook, Snap Chat, Instagram, etc.
- Basic knowledge of Mail Chimp is preferable

Must be able to work collegially in an office setting with other immediate associates
